Axle Steer

Here is a shot with the shocks installed.
I have the shocks on the right fully compressed and the shocks on the left fully extended. (Hard to tell because the photo did not come out too well)
The good news is that there is little to no axle steer. I hope this set up also is as good at eliminating chassis torque twist / wheel lift.

Dig Servo mount on electronics plate Raear Axle lockout

Here is a quck shot of a unfinished rear axle lock out. Should do the job well.

Here you can see the rear plate I fabbed up out of lexan. It will hold my dig servo, Castle Creations Mamba Maxx esc and BEC. I have some small adel clamps that I will used to secure it. I will probably shoot a coat of matching paint on the underside of it when I paint the panels.

Front four link and behind the axle Steering Linkages

Here is a shot of the underside of the fronk axle.

And another side view with the shocks installed. Looks like my $10 dig servo is not fully protected. Ill look into it after I damage it. lol

More international Hits

Add Italy, Portugal, Korea, Martinique, Australia, Finland and Cyprus to the list below.

I'm still suprised that China and Japan have not found my page considering most of the axles that crawlers are based on come from overseas. Tamiya just came out with that CR01, Kyosho has the Rock Force in the works not to mention what Yokomo and Duratrax have in the works. There are a few other lesser know crawlers (OCM, Junfac) that come from that corner of the world as well.

Thanks for viewing.

World Wide RC Crawling

Right now I am just waiting for parts. I decided to buy a set of twin force shocks and have been waiting on those.
I still need to do a little fab work to lock out my rear axle's nuckles and make a mounting plate for some electronics.

I would like to say thanks for checking out this build.
So far enthusiasts from the following places have visited my blog.
Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Norway, Belgium, New Zealand, Brazil and the majority of views coming from American viewers.

It would be cool if I could get some more international viewers. Places I know this hobby is also growig at a rapid rate. Maybe Japan, China, and Australia.

Thanks for looking! More updates in about a week.

2.2 Huster RC Rock Crawler

It has been going together nicely. Four Link is done. All I will need to do is throw on some shocks and dial out and torque twist As far as suspension goes.

Electronics, drive shafts and steering are next.

That is a 3014 crawlmaster from http://holmeshobbies.com/ (top notch customer service) attached to a R2 Digg tranny sitting in the chassis.

Just a quick shot of one of my wheels and link.

5/16" Solid Acetal (Delrin) Rod with Revo rode ends and 3/4" long stainless allthread inserts.
They are pretty strong.

I was able to make some progress. Here are a few shots of my completed axles with wheels. Just shy of 10.5".
